softened butter

white sugar

eggs

tsp
vanilla extract

lemon juice

molasses

all purpose flour

baking soda

tsp
baking powder

tsp
salt

tsp
cinnamon

tsp
ginger
1/2
tsp
nutmeg
1/2
cup
sour cream
1
cup
chocolate chips or chunks
feel free to add extra if desired

ripe and mashed
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Grease loaf pans. I use 9x5 normally
In a large bowl cream together the softened butter and sugar.
Add eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, and molasses. Mix well.
In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
Add the dry mix to the butter mix. Combine until smooth.
Fold in sour cream, bananas and chocolate chips. Reserve a few chocolate chips.
Add to a loaf pan until about half full. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on the top.
Bake at 350F (175C) for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then pop it out of the loaf pan and let it finish cooling.
